Working with individuals
We work with individuals with a Lived Experience of suicide, mental health, AOD and domestic violence to translate personal wisdom into leadership capability and economic empowerment. Elysium's mission is to build collective Lived Experience Leadership, influence systems change and build organizational capacity across our community through the voice of Lived Experience.
What this looks like in practice:
- Building the skills, confidence, capability, and sustainability of lived experience leaders
- Supporting individuals to safely, ethically, and strategically use their lived experience in leadership, advisory, speaking, and consultation roles
- Supporting people to explore values-aligned pathways in leadership, employment, business, or social impact roles
- Building personal capacity around boundaries, self-care, and wellbeing to support long-term sustainability and performance
- Supporting individuals to move from challenge to clarity, and from experience to purpose, enabling effective, ethical, and sustainable contribution
- Connecting people with lived experience and organizations across opportunities such as advisory groups, panels, speaking engagements, training roles, and co-design activities
- Bringing lived experience leaders together in a collective space for connection, shared learning, and peer leadership, building leadership capability and advisory capacity across communities and organizations
- Providing advisory, co-design, and consultation opportunities for people with a lived experience that informs service design, policy, and organizational decision-making across our communities

We strengthen organizational and workforce capacity through leadership capability and systems design honoring Lived Experience as a strategic asset and supporting leaders to make informed, values-aligned decisions that strengthen organizational performance without compromising their people.
With the introduction of Managing the Risk of Psychosocial Hazards at Work Code of Practice 2022, managing psychosocial risks is no longer optional, it is a clear leadership and governance responsibility. Elysium supports organizations to move beyond tick-box compliance and build workplaces where psychosocial safety is intentionally embedded in leadership, culture and organizational systems. By strengthening how work is designed and how people are supported, we help organizations reduce risk, improve workforce wellbeing, and create environments where both people and performance can thrive.

- Psychosocial Risk Assessment & Systems Design - We review organizational systems, workflows and practices to identify psychosocial hazards, strengthen WHS compliance, and design safer, more resilient workplaces
- Psychosocial safety implementation - We support organizations to implement psychosocial safety strategies in operational practices through intentional leadership, systems design and change management processes
- Strategic Operational & Executive Support - We provide embedded, strategic business and administration support available in scalable retainer tiers designed to reduce operational risk and allow leaders to focus on core strategy
- Speaking engagements, panels, and training facilitation - We provide speaking engagements, co-design and training facilitation from people with a Lived Experience focused on suicide prevention, psychosocial safety, leadership, and healthy workplaces
- Workforce capacity building & Lived Experience Integration:
- Lived Experience Engagement - We provide guidance on ethical, safe, and meaningful lived experience engagement, reducing organizational risk and preventing tokenism or harm
- Lived Experience as Strategic Capability - We support organizations to meaningfully embed lived experience as a strategic asset, strengthening organizational culture, workforce wellbeing, and ethical practice as well as retaining workforce expertise
- Workforce and Leadership capacity building - We focus on peer workforce development, train-the-trainer programs, and executive advisory services to ethically embed lived-experience capability across your organization, building leadership pathways and strengthening workforce capacity rather than creating dependency

As a values-led Social Enterprise in Practice, we operate with the intention that surplus generated through our work is progressively reinvested into strengthening collective capacity and advancing our social mission over time. This includes developing lived experience leaders, expanding access to mentoring, leadership, and training programs, supporting ethical and sustainable practice, and building systems and frameworks that enable long-term social and organizational impact.
